Electric Boom Lift Attachment - The most common description for electric trucks are the type "E" meaning the lift trucks meets the minimum requirements for fire and electrical hazards. All the trucks which are labeled type E are not suitable for use in unsafe locations. Type "ES" lift trucks meet all the requirements of Type "E" lift trucks and have additional tools so as to avoid the emission of sparks and control the surface temperature of forklift parts.

Type "ES" forklifts are more specialized and are not normally available. Type "EE" lift trucks meet all the standards of Type "E" and "ES" trucks and have all electrical motors and spark producing electrical parts totally enclosed because Type "EE" forklifts are usually used where a dangerous environment has been recognized. Type "EX" trucks are specially intended for use in surroundings where dust or vapors or flammable fibers can be existing. These types of trucks are constructed using no spark producing parts together with several protective measures to be able to ensure optimum safety in the dangerous applications they could be called upon for.
